Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for coordinating the siting efforts and activities of AEP Transmission. The successful candidate will:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve line routing success.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
- Provide regulatory support, including testimony, as a Transmission siting witness for regulatory proceedings.
- Manage project siting specialists and project workflow systemwide for competitive and non-competitive projects.
- Foster strategic relationships and initiatives that demonstrate AEP's values when interfacing with internal and external parties concerning siting practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, landscape architecture, planning, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in siting, operations, engineering, environmental, or field utility experience; or minimum of five years of experience as a Transmission Line siting specialist professional or equivalent position.
