Description
The SDR will be the initial point of contact for new prospects with a focus on coordinating appointments on behalf of our Business Development Representatives.
Responsibilities:
- High-volume outbound cold calling
- Qualifying and building prospect relationships
- Booking appointments between prospects and our Business Development Representatives (BDRs)
- Answers incoming calls and communications; determine and assign the priority level of a call.
- Adeptly uses multi-line telephone system and other communications methods and networks.
- Asking questions and determining the caller situation via interpretation, analyses, and anticipation.
- Enter and update information in computer databases.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Hazards:
- This job operates in a general office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Special Physical Demands:
- This is a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files up-to fifteen pounds, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.
Work Contact Group:
- Significant contact with office administrators and other sales representatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfort using the telephone as primary means of outreach.
- Willingness to cold-call and manage resistance.
- Highly organized with an entrepreneurial and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Ability to learn CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with internal sales teams.
