AEF partners with firms and financial advisors in an unbiased manner to expand philanthropic giving through donor-advised funds. At AEF, you can think of a donor-advised fund as a charitable account. We work with financial advisors and their donors to establish and administer AEF donor-advised fund accounts with the goal of increasing the amount granted to our donors’ causes and charities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Associate, Business Analyst is a member of the Office of Business Strategy and is responsible for assessing and evaluating data to gain insights into business operations and recommend solutions to drive innovation and growth. This involves analyzing financial data, market trends, and operational metrics to identify areas of improvement and assist in the development of strategies for growth.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficient at using analytical tools and software, such as Excel, data visualization tools, and business intelligence platforms, to conduct analysis and generate insights.
- Gather data from a variety of sources and perform moderate analyses to gain insights into business operations and market trends to understand and expand market share and grow profitability.
- Conduct organizational studies and evaluations to support solution identification.
- Research and assess industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in business performance analysis to help drive innovation and an understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Work closely with the CBSO to partner with other AEF offices to provide detailed reports, findings and internal statistics that support relationships with financial advisors and donors.
- Strategize and advise on various cross-functional projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or related field
- 2 or more years of experience preferred
- Direct or related experience with the investment or financial services industries preferred
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience thinking outside of the box to provide creative and effective solutions
- Highly proficient in MS Office knowledge and experience, including Advanced Excel, Macros Word, and Outlook.
