Fishing and Rental Shop Hand
Overview:
American Well Services is located in Midland, TX and provides well service rigs for the purpose of workover or completion operations. Along with the well service rigs, AWS offers a wide range of additional wellsite support services including, fluid transfer, fishing and rental services, hot oiling, frac tank rental and wellsite construction. AWS is managed by seasoned industry veterans and services blue-chip customers in the Permian Basin with a substantial asset base, strong safety culture and industry-leading operating procedures. American Well Services provides a full suite of completions and workover solutions to customers in the Permian Basin.
Responsibilities:
The Fishing and Rental Shop Hand will work on various tasks associated with the operation of equipment and tools in the Fishing and Rentals division. This job will help the fishing and rental and downhole services team in the field and provide corrective solutions to complete the job.

Will support team members in the field and shop.

Will assist in delivery of tools and parts.

Must follow AWS standard operating procedures and comply with company policies and other specialized equipment and safety training required by the company.

Communicate and work effectively with other team members per the standard operating procedures.

Perform daily basic maintenance and check troubleshooting of equipment regularly.

Continue training with the team to expand knowledge and experience of fishing and rental services.

Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the FRS Operations Manager or Business Line Manager.
Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education preferred.

Maintain a valid Class A U.S. Driver’s License

Continuation of acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Ability to pass an MVR
-
Ability to work independently and as a team with other crews, particularly when under pressure in situations where priorities change or emergency situations.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently on a routine basis.

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.

Able to work within different weather elements such as, but not limited to, wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold

Ability to wear proper PPE at all times while on location

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written;

Basic writing, math, and computer skills.

Must be able to work a varied schedule and shifts and travel as job requires.

Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.

Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements, including, but not limited to pre-employment drug screen and MVR review.

Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the Untied States, as required by law
