Job Summary
American Equipment HR LLC is seeking a skilled Crane Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, this individual will be responsible for performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
About the Role
- Provide on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve repair and safety related issues.
- Analyze and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Identify sales opportunities during service calls.
- Ensure accurate documentation on the service report for the work performed.
- Install and commission new cranes, including wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Travel may be required; a company vehicle is provided.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of AC/DC theory and ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance.
- Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical environments.
- Willingness to work overtime and hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Pass a drug-screen and background check.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.
- Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming is a plus.
- Previous experience in crane maintenance is also a plus.
- Must have Cal/OHSA qualifications.
