GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
The Senior Actuary, Cash Flow Testing is responsible for leading cash flow testing and asset adequacy analysis to ensure long-term solvency of the company for our fixed indexed annuities and other small annuity blocks of business. As a manager of the cash flow testing team, the incumbent contributes to the design and execution of the reporting framework and associated analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Leads timely and accurate cash flow testing and asset adequacy analysis.
- Monitors developments in the actuarial industry and remains current on applicable regulatory and accounting matters and best practices.
- Collaborates with Corporate Actuarial Team (valuation, model, FP&A and assumptions) and other teams (e.g., Investment, ROA, Product and Pricing) to share results and influence / support optimized business strategy development.
- Leads a diverse team of employees with responsibility for managing the employee life cycle and experience, including but not limited to, selection and retention of talent, continuous feedback and performance management, reward and recognition, corrective action and employee development.
- Collaborates with Investments team to model and validate asset cash flows and market values from MG-ALFA.
- Provides subject matter expertise to team members and internal / external stakeholders on cash flow testing framework.
- Performs other related work as assigned.
