JOB SUMMARY:
The Proofreader/Editor, Financial Services focuses on ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of content related to annuities and retirement planning. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong proofreading and editing skills, contributing to the creation of high-quality materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews and proofreads content, including brochures, emails, website copy, white papers, and presentations, for grammatical accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and consistency.
- Ensures all content adheres to brand guidelines, style standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-checks data, product details, and financial terminology for accuracy.
- Edits content to improve clarity, readability, and tone while preserving the writer's intent.
Content Quality Assurance:
- Assists in maintaining consistency across various communication materials by verifying adherence to AP style and internal style guides.
- Collaborates with writers to suggest revisions and enhancements to improve overall content quality.
- Verifies links, formatting, and layouts in digital content for functionality and consistency.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Works closely with the marketing, compliance, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of edited content.
- Coordinates with subject matter experts to clarify technical details or financial concepts.
- Supports team projects by managing assigned tasks and providing feedback on drafts.
Other Duties:
- Maintains an organized repository of edited materials for future reference.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned to support the marketing and communications team
