Packager

American Excelsior Company is actively seeking a Packager to join our Erosion Control Division (ESD) team. Our Norwalk branch is expanding and looking to grow its team of valued production associates to run a brand new machine in our Erosion Control department. Hours:

• 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am

Compensation/Benefits:

• Starting wage is $17.85 per hour
• $1.50 per hour shift premium for 2nd shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in packaging of blanket roll bundles according to work orders
• Assists machine operator to package and palletize blanket roll bundles of different sizes
• Labels blanket roll bundles with tags
• Bands bundles using the air banding gun
• Clean, sweeps and organizes work area using the broom

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

• A minimum of a High School degree with a preference for 1 years manufacturing experience operating basic hand tools and equipment preferred.
• A Servant Leadership style collaborating with peers.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 10 hour shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Dusty and moderately noisy; regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

Newly hired individuals must have a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug & Alcohol Test, and Audiogram.
