Position Summary
The Sales Manager will oversee key account relationships within Beauty and Department store channels. Acting as a strategic partner between Sales, E-Commerce, Brand, Creative, and Global Development teams, the Sales Manager will own the end-to-end sales lifecycle, drive business growth, and exceed sales and margin targets. In addition to managing key accounts, this role will lead the development of long-term strategies to expand market share, enhance retailer relationships, and ensure the successful execution of sales programs across multiple platforms.
Location: This role is remote, however Chicago area preferred. Also if the candidate is based in NY Metro, they will need to work out of our NYC HQ 2-3 days per week.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Sales Ownership
- Lead the sales process from initial presentation through in-retail lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Own relationships with key accounts in Beauty and Department stores, acting as the primary liaison to manage day-to-day sales, program execution, and future business growth.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to identify and target new retailers, expanding market presence and contributing to revenue growth.
- Partner with Director of Planning on sales forecasting, tracking performance against plans, and driving alignment with company goals.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and reviews with internal and external stakeholders to assess performance, adjust strategies, and ensure all sales targets are met.
- Partner with the marketing team to define and execute retail marketing strategies tailored to key accounts and consumer insights, aimed at increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, and driving in-store and online sales.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with Brand and Marketing teams to ensure product positioning and campaigns align with retailer needs, trends, and consumer preferences.
- Review and analyze promotion performance, sales metrics, and customer feedback to inform future initiatives and improve product offerings.
- Utilize insights from key accounts to create customized promotional strategies that resonate with target audiences.
- Own the new item setup and customer onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition from development to in-market execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic account inquiries, responding promptly to any escalations or customer service issues while maintaining positive relationships with all partners.
- Continuously monitor and analyze retail performance, adjusting strategies to maximize revenue and optimize customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with leadership to define annual sales goals, ensuring alignment with broader company initiatives.
- Regularly evaluate competitive landscape and market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Support the execution of key trade shows, retailer events, and other industry functions, positioning the company as a leader within the Beauty and Department store sectors.
- 5 years of experience in sales management, with a focus on Beauty and/or Department store channels.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large accounts and driving business growth within a retail or wholesale environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as E-Commerce, Brand, Marketing, and Creative to execute cohesive and successful programs.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Data-driven, with strong analytical skills to track and report on sales performance, customer insights, and campaign success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
