The Manager of Client Management leads innovative account management strategies, focusing on growing profitability and deepening client relationships within a portfolio of Global Multi-National accounts. The role is to grow and increase the non-transactional revenue of their portfolio through outstanding relationship management and consultative sales skills, synthesizing client needs, identifying innovative solutions, understanding the external market, and leveraging the Amex GBT value proposition.

What You'll Do :

  • Research the marketplace and competitor products and services to highlight the value that distinguishes Amex GBT products, benchmarking, and technology as critical value drivers.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of key business drivers, organizational culture, and the competitive position of clients.
  • Lead global efforts for the assigned portfolio across 4 regions and 50 countries, guiding regional market leads in supporting client global goals / initiatives.
  • Drive sales efforts to deliver multiple revenue streams and further penetrate accounts, focusing on non-transaction, premium revenue.
  • Identify new opportunities and deliver innovative solutions that contribute to client profitability.
  • Develop creative pricing strategies and contribute to ongoing client P&L management and retention.
  • Lead business planning, C-Level executive reviews, quarterly and annual reviews, and business negotiations on rebids for strategic accounts.
  • Enhance the Amex GBT value proposition through policy consultation, researching white paper needs, technology road mapping, optimizing online solutions, and event content development.
  • Build strong relationships to ensure trusted partnerships with clients.

What We're Looking For :

  • 5 years of global account / client management experience with strong proven people leadership skills; travel industry experience is preferred.
  • Previous customer / client-facing experience and client relationship management skills with global clients; global service delivery / account implementations experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record delivering a data-driven, analytical approach to the client’s travel program in a consultative manner.
  • Proven success in consultative selling and demonstrated success in growing client revenue and profitability.
  • Ability to communicate Amex GBT’s value proposition and proven executive-level presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic vision, account plans, and set measurable goals.
  • Strong business and financial competence with a consistent track record of achieving results.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle objections effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain a comprehensive network internally and externally.
  • Proficient with software platforms including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Salesforce.
  • This is a virtual-based position, primarily located in Central to Western US. Must be comfortable working remotely and traveling as needed for client business reviews.

    Location : United States

    The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

    In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Award plan or one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans. This role is also eligible for awards under the company Equity Incentive Plan.
