Reporting directly to the VP of Risk Decision Technology, the Manager Assistant will establish and lead the new executive office within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This pivotal role encompasses a wide array of strategic, analytical, and communication-based activities crafted to ensure the team’s objectives are achieved. As a key member of the Leadership Team, the Manager Assistant will cultivate close collaboration among team members, using their outstanding leadership, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will possess consistent track record of independent excellence and thrive in a high-performing team environment. Furthermore, this role extends to supporting collaboration and engagement across US, and India Technology campus initiatives by coordinating events and activities for these communities. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prioritize and Manage Workflow: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of team activities and strategically prioritize the VP’s focus on key initiatives.
  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Oversee business planning and operational processes for the VP’s office, including developing and implementing Organizational strategies, driving and reporting on key performance goals, leading Leadership team meetings with strategic support to VPs in the areas of Budget management, Project management, Colleague performance assessment, and Recruitment efforts.
  • Foster Team Engagement and Development: Build and Lead Colleague engagement strategy and initiatives, including team-building activities, talent assessment, and collaboration with the CEG.
  • Maintain a pulse on Team dynamics: Actively engage with team members, understand their concerns and perspectives, and proactively address any emerging issues.
  • Serve as a Central Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for urgent business issues, handle information requests, and coordinate priorities for the VP’s office.
  • Facilitate Business-Tech Alignment: Support business-technology partnerships and communication to ensure clear priorities and shared goals.
  • Develop Executive Communications: Craft impactful presentations, communications, and talking points for key business reviews and executive discussions.
  • Exercise Independent Leadership: Demonstrate initiative, operate autonomously, and effectively influence collaborators across all Organizational levels.


 

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Proven Experience: Significant relevant experience, ideally within a large, complex organization.

  • American Express Expertise (Preferred): Demonstrated ability to navigate effectively within American Express, with a strong understanding of its business, processes, and operations.

  • Organizational Excellence: Highly organized and self-motivated, with confirmed project management, organizational, and planning skills in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Communication Prowess: Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with a strong personal presence.
  • Technical Proficiency: Excellent proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Active listening, summarization, and lateral thinking skills to identify and address emerging opportunities.
  • Financial Acumen: Prior experience in capacity planning and financial reporting.
  • Educational Background: University degree preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Confidentiality and Trust: Unwavering ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion.
  • Technology Experience (Desirable): Experience in organizing and supporting Amex Technology Organization.


 

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
