American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment issuer and partner for businesses, supporting small business owners and companies with products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. The B2B Brand Strategy & Marketing Team sits within the Marketing Strategy & Content team in the B2B Marketing organization. This team is focused on establishing the B2B brand strategy, go-to-market launches, managing B2B social media and developing marketing standards across all channels & touchpoints, including how they connect to the Masterbrand.
This position is a unique blend of brand, marketing strategy and advertising to deliver on GCS’s top business priorities. This is a high visibility role with the opportunity to shape how we go to market with our B2B brand, products and services.
As a Senior Analyst - B2B Brand Strategy and Marketing, you will support the development and implementation of key B2B brand and marketing strategies and go-to-market activations to deliver the next generation of American Express’ B2B Brand and advertising. This includes working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and agencies to launch strategic brand strategies and compelling and connected campaigns.

As a Senior Analyst - B2B Brand Strategy and Marketing, you will support the development and implementation of key B2B brand and marketing strategies and go-to-market activations to deliver the next generation of American Express’ B2B Brand and advertising. This includes working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and agencies to launch strategic brand strategies and compelling and connected campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic thought leadership and support across B2B brand strategies and go-to-market campaigns to drive business goals and priorities.
- Support development of B2B brand narratives that drive more impactful and connected marketing communications (I.e. brand positioning, messaging, visual identity, etc.)
- Support B2B above the line campaigns across briefing, creative, production and measurement processes to drive business priorities.
- Lead development of brand and campaign initiatives including strategic playbooks with clear and actionable guidance, campaign landing pages and below the line marketing including planning, measurement and tracking.
- Lead B2B Brand Center of Excellence for GCS providing ongoing support to marketers and leading B2B Brand Box, ongoing intake surveys, brand consultation and trainings, etc.
- Own and track project plans for B2B initiatives by gathering and analyzing inputs from key stakeholders, providing regular status reports to core team, and raising obstacles.
- Work in close collaboration with cross-enterprise and cross-functional teams to ensure all work is well validated, socialized and implemented.
- Partner closely with creative agencies and key internal partners such as Global Advertising & Brand Management, Amex Insights, Customer Marketing, Acquisition Marketing, Product Management and Legal/Compliance.
- 2 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and/or brand strategy.
- Demonstrated ability developing & implementing brand strategies and marketing campaigns across above the line and below the line activations preferred.
- Strategic thinker who can interpret customer and campaign data to drive actionable recommendations and results.
- Strong project management and organizational skills including attention to detail, handling multiple priorities, leading timelines, driving flawless executive
- Effective relationship manager with the ability to influence and mobilize cross-functional teams and leadership levels.
- Highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the poise to influence and collaborate across a diverse global organization.
- Self-motivated and ambitious with a passion to work in a high performing, results-oriented environment.
- Creative problem solver who can anticipate and solve challenges proactively with a “can do” attitude.
- B2B financial services marketing and/or product experience a plus.
- Experience with conducting and analyzing customer research a plus.
