Job Summary
To supervise Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) working in an AFC Urgent Care in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the exiting PA and APRNs working in the urgent care
- Allow an advanced provider to prescribe or order a drug or device while acting under adequate supervision
- Review requisite amount of charts and medical records
- Ready to assist the providers with any patient or clinic related queries
- Setup meetings with clinic providers as required
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Board Certified/Board Eligible – Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (w/ER or UC experience)
- Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
- Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
