Description
Objective: Lead, manage, train, and develop group fitness team members according to the company's Mission, Vision, and Service Standards, to continually provide optimal performance for net member growth, retention, and club profitability.
Reports to: General Manager and Group Fitness Director equally.
Criteria:
A minimum of three years teaching group fitness in person (not online)
Customer Service experience
Primary Group Fitness Certification or Personal Training Certification (AFF approved)
CPR/AED Certification
Proficient oral, written and technology communication (Microsoft Office) skills
As an AFF Team Member and Group Fitness Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administrative Duties
- Communicate regularly with the GFD and partner together on all aspects of Group Fitness and any Group Fitness Initiatives
- Payroll (GFM and Instructor)
- Maintain in Paycom, personnel records for the instructor team
- Perform all administrative work accurately and on time
Manage Staff
- Network, recruit, audition, hire, review and develop instructors to build a solid team and grow our programs
- Ensure the instructor team follows AFF program parameters/program direction, certification requirements and guidelines of all freestyle and pre-choreographed program standards
Schedules, subbing, programming, events and training
- Follow the AFF approved guidelines for quarterly scheduling
- Ensure the instructor team follows the subbing and teaching frequency guidelines
- Partner with the GM and GFM on all programming and event ideas
- Utilize the AFF approved pre-training, training and post training guides
Teaching
- The quantity of classes owned by the GFM will be determined in partnership by the GFD and the GM.
- GFM will sub on an "as needed" basis after all sub possibilities have been exhausted.
- GFM will follow the guidelines of all freestyle and pre-choreographed program standards, AFF parameters and program direction set in partnership with the GFD.
