Leads data collection and audit workstream for company sustainability reporting in partnership with subject matter experts; supports efforts to respond to key ESG surveys, rating and regulatory entity responses and board of directors communication prioritized by the Company specifically as it relates to ESG performance. Leads compliance and governance efforts associated with ESG.
Collaborates with executive, property, actuarial and investment teams to develop and implement ESG roadmap aligned with American Fidelity’s (AF) organizational strategies, goals, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations. Educates Board and executives on ESG trends.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Sustainability Management, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Environmental Engineering, Audit, Data Analytics or related area of study
- 5-7 years experience; at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in sustainability/ESG program management, audit or reporting in a corporate setting, sustainability consulting or sustainability NGOs
- Proficient knowledge of ESG frameworks, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) as well as state requirements
- Expertise in ESG data analysis, impact assessment, and risk management
- Familiarity with sustainable finance and investment practices, including green bonds, impact investing, and socially responsible investment (SRI) strategies
- Strong understanding of relevant ESG regulations, reporting requirements, and emerging trends in different industries
- Experience in conducting stakeholder engagement and managing ESG communication strategies
- Experience in working with internal and external environmental engineering expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analytics and reporting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Must be comfortable to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- GHG certification or degree preferred
