Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant – Join Our Fast-Paced, High-Performing Team!


Are you a detail-oriented mortgage professional looking for a dynamic team to grow with? We’re searching for a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant with at least 2 years of mortgage experience to play a key role in our high-volume, referral-driven business.


What You’ll Do:

  • Communicate with referral partners, clients, real estate agents, lenders, and underwriters to nurture relationships and generate new business.
  • Assist with mortgage loan applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, analyzed, and reviewed per loan guidelines.
  • Provide seamless support throughout the loan process, keeping things moving efficiently.

  • Experience with Non-QM loans (30% of our business).

Compensation:

Min $50k yearly per file bonus based on experience

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administrative duties such as making and screening calls, booking appointments, etc.
  • Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
  • Be the primary liaison between the mortgage loan officer and our clients and schedule meetings to discuss outstanding items
  • Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions as needed in order to provide superior customer service
  • Check all loan package documents for complete accuracy and submit any discrepancies to the loan officer/ loan originator
Qualifications:
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills
  • NMLS license or training is not required, but is desired
  • Preferably 2-3 years of administrative support in a professional office or mortgage environment

Strong Organizational Skills

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple files, track deadlines, and ensure accuracy in documentation
  • Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently to handle a high volume of work

Excellent Communication Skills

  • Interpersonal Skills: Capable of interacting professionally with clients, loan officers, and other team members
  • Written Communication: Proficient in drafting clear and concise emails, reports, and documentation

Proficiency with Technology

  • Software Knowledge: Familiar with loan processing software, CRM systems, and other relevant tools. Encompass experience preferred
  • Tech Savvy: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and systems

Understanding of the Mortgage Industry

  • Loan Processing Knowledge: Familiarity with loan types, processes, and documentation requirements
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards

Problem-Solving Abilities

  • Critical Thinking: Skilled at identifying issues and finding solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive Approach: Ability to anticipate needs and address potential problems before they arise

Customer Service Orientation

  • Client Focused: Dedicated to providing exceptional service and addressing client needs with empathy and professionalism
  • Responsive: Prompt in responding to client inquiries and resolving issues

Experience and Education

  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience in the mortgage industry or a similar role is highly beneficial
  • Educational Background: A background in finance, business, or a related field can be advantageous
