About the Role
This role reports to the Branch Manager in Dallas, TX. AFS is looking for a Fire Inspections Sales Representative for immediate opportunities. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients negotiating and closing fire inspection sales. Must understand the sales cycle, maintain a pipeline, cold calling, and forecast correctly. This position requires a team player with a positive, professional attitude and demeanor.
What you’ll do (day to day)
- Confident in cold-calling new customers within a portfolio.
- Actively grow business by seeking new relationships and fire inspection opportunities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of each stage of the sales cycle and process.
- Expected to meet or exceed annual, assigned sales goal/budget.
- Work closely with the corporate sales team to assist in other markets where necessary.
- Meeting and exceeding financial targets.
- Proven sales results in organic growth.
- Maintain a high level of service and professionalism.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare proposals and presentations following company policy and in a professional and timely manner.
- Take advantage of all marketing opportunities through networking and other market-related events ex: industry meetings, networking events, and after-hours functions.
- History of territory management and strategic thinking.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- As an Inspections Sales Representative, you will manage the entire sales process, from uncovering opportunities, developing solution/value propositions, negotiating terms, and closing opportunities.
- Must be a self-starter able to generate new business leads and identify sales opportunities without the fear of hearing no.
- Must apply innovative and effective sales and project management techniques to maximize performance.
- Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards.
- Assertive personality with a progressive and positive attitude.
- Willing to knock on doors of potential new customers.
- Ability to “think outside the box” and encourage creative thinking in others.
- Meeting and exceeding financial targets where metrics are closely monitored, analyzed, and enforced.
- History of territory management, strategic thinking, and proven sales results.
- Embraces the value and necessity of new tools, methods, and ideas.
- Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog.
- Close sales to meet or exceed sales plan objectives.
- Detail oriented.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Normal work hours are Monday – Friday from 7:00AM – 4:00PM
