Fire Sprinkler Fitter
About the Role
This role reports to the onsite Branch Manager in charge and can be located in the Waco/Killeen/Temple/Belton area. AFS is looking for Fire Sprinkler Fitters for immediate opportunities in the Waco/Killeen/Temple/Belton area. If you have experience with installing, servicing, or inspecting, fire sprinkler systems including wet and dry systems for residential clients then apply now.
What you’ll do (day to day)
- Achieve any tasks necessary to complete work on a given job site in a timely, effective manner.
- Read project drawings for correct installation.
- Install CPVC pipe in a factory setting with daily production goals.
- Maintain testing paperwork on a daily basis.
- Maintain adequate material stock to keep up with production goals.
- If necessary, work after hours or on weekends.
- Protect and maintain company equipment.
- Work in a safe manner as outlined by the company or contractor’s safety procedures.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Sprinkler Foreman or Field Superintendent.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Residential fire sprinkler systems background and a basic level of comfort and knowledge with pipe fitting, electrical work, and residential/commercial sprinkler system fittings.
- Candidates must pass a drug screen.
- Candidates must know subs and residential GC’s.
- Candidates must be local to the territory (Waco/Killeen/Temple/Belton).
- Candidates will be required to sign a non-compete, non-solicitation.
- Candidates must have current experience as a fitter.
- Due to company policy, no secondary income is allowed while employed.
- Candidates must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Candidates must be able to show proof of work eligibility.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Employee shall devote their full time, energy, and skill to the performance of the services in which the Company is engaged. Employee shall not undertake, as employee or otherwise, the performance of services for compensation (actual or expected) for any other entity without the express written concert of the President or Vice President.
