Low Voltage Helper
About the Role
This role reports to the onsite project manager and is located in Dallas, TX. AFS is looking for Low Voltage Helpers for immediate opportunities. The preferred candidate should be self-motivated and have the ability to install fire alarms and low voltage systems.
What you’ll do (day to day) Under the supervision and direction of a Licensed Fire Alarm Technician
- Assist and learn the installation of fire alarm systems for new construction projects under a licensed technician.
- Assist and learn programming of systems.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Applicable experience in either the fire protection or the commercial construction business.
- Knowledge of how to read and use a volt meter.
- Candidates must pass a drug screen.
- Candidates must be able to show proof of work eligibility.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Aptitude for learning a career in the fire alarm industry.
- Self-Starter.
- Study for and pass a Minimum Level for Fire alarm Licensing within the first year of employment.
- Normal work hours are Monday – Friday from 6:30AM – 3:30PM.
