What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control position at American Flagging, LLC?
We exist to save lives!
We are looking to hire crews to support our other states NH, VT, ME. So this position would be Traveling to other states as needed. Vehicle and Lodging will be provided to do this. This is not for local position although you could be asked to work PT local jobs as well. You will be required to attend an onboarding/training (few hours) in Stamford CT. If you can not do this please do not apply.
We serve to provide and implement safe work practices in different environments and weather climates.
Here's a list of expectations for the role of Flagger.
- Using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road worksites
- Communicating with other flaggers to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane
- Informing the on-site crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
- Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around construction sites
- Setting up barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areas.
- Removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of site work.

We are looking for full-time and part-time (flexible with variable days) candidates, year-round.
No experience necessary, on the job training will be provided!
Punctuality, reliability, and communication are your keys to success.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have a valid driver’s license, ands a cell phone.
- Travel to each site/location.
- Tolerant to inclement weather (hot/cold/wet/dry). WE WORK OUTSIDE
Here’s a look at your expected work environment:
- Standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods
- Lifting and carrying objects up to 35 pounds
- Working in all weather conditions
