Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with flooring product selection and inquiries based on their needs, preferences and budget.
- Provide expert knowledge and advice on all types of flooring options.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and operating the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain organized sales floor, ensuring products are displayed effectively.
- Utilize retail math skills.
- Negotiate with customers when necessary to close sales effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in flooring, or home improvement is preferred.
- Ability to sell products effectively while providing excellent customer service.
- Proficient in retail math for inventory management and sales analysis.
- Experience in using point-of-sale systems with attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
