American Foods Group, LLC has an opportunity for Cattle Buyer at our corporate office in Green Bay, WI.
As a Cattle Buyer, you will:
- Provide cattle buying services to company as specified by the Vice President of Cattle Procurement.
- Drive to various auctions as determined by head buyer.
- Evaluate yield, weight, and grade of cattle.
- Locate and buy cattle direct from producers in the country as directed by the Head Cattle Buyer.
- Submit timely reports when required.
- NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in cattle procurement.
- Extensive knowledge of industry practices and terms.
- Willing and able to travel 50-75% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-starter.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
