JOB DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse Manager will be directly involved in all warehouse activities, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and logistics reporting. This hands-on role requires the individual to work closely with the warehouse team to ensure that all operations run efficiently, shipments are processed accurately, and logistics data is reported promptly. The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and play a key role in maintaining optimal warehouse performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management, with a hands-on approach.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed on time, accurately, and meet quality standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and effective inventory management practices.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to ensure efficient use of space and improve warehouse capacity utilization.
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to streamline warehouse processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Provide accurate and timely logistics reporting, including inventory tracking, shipment status, and warehouse performance metrics.
- Implement and enforce best practices for warehouse organization, safety, and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in warehouse management, logistics, or related operations.
- Proven experience in receiving, shipping, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a hands-on approach to daily warehouse activities.
- Proficient in logistics reporting, inventory control, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management (WMS) systems.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
Typical KPIs to Monitor:
- Inventory Record Accuracy: Percentage of accurate inventory records vs. physical inventory.
- Warehouse Capacity Utilization: Percentage of warehouse space effectively utilized for storage.
- Order Fulfillment Rate: Percentage of orders delivered on time and in full.
- On-Time Shipment: Percentage of shipments leaving the warehouse on time.
- Cycle Time: Time taken to process inbound and outbound shipments.
