Intern, Government Affairs

This internship will provide meaningful work experience and a glimpse into how American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) supports an industry and promotes its sustainability initiatives.
Support our dynamic and government affairs team by:
- Preparing for AF&PAs June fly in
- Assisting with data project related to Congressional facility lists
- Drafting briefing papers
- Attending hearings and author reports on hearings
- Creating power points on member companies and important issues
AF&PA's internships are intended to:
- Provide valuable work experience in areas of interest and study
- Allow individuals to learn about the essential and sustainable work of the forest products industry
- Provide exposure to the various disciplines within AF&PA, the public policy world and the industry
- Expose interns to professionals in their field of study and other disciplines
Compensation:
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 37.50 per week, for 8 weeks
