YOUR DAY AS A BASEBALL/SOFTBALL UMPIRE
As a Seasonal Baseball/Softball Umpire with American Fork City, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring fair play and safety on the field according to the High School Association and Recreation Department rules. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to arrive at the venue early to review game schedules and communicate with coaches and players. You'll be responsible for explaining rules, verifying scoring calculations, making calls on plays, signaling participants to make them aware of infractions, and maintaining order during games.
Since this position requires you to be on your feet and attentive, expect an engaging and active experience that sharpens your decision-making skills. Your schedule will primarily consist of Nights and weekends, accommodating the busy sports calendar.
