AFHU seeks a Director of Prospect Management and Research (Director) to design and oversee a comprehensive prospect and donor pipeline program to strengthen fundraising efforts and support AFHU’s fundraising goals. The Director will be a proactive professional with a deep understanding of charitable giving and nonprofit organizations, including institutions of higher education. The incumbent will develop a prospect management system leaning on industry best practices and methodologies to strengthen AFHU’s donor pipeline.

Responsibilities
Prospective Donor Research:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust prospect pipeline by proactively and continuously identifying new high-potential giving prospects through assessment of capacity, inclination, and philanthropic history of potential donors through comprehensive research and analysis
- In partnership with fundraisers, assist in building engagement strategies based on patterns and knowledge of prospective donors
- Establish and maintain standards of compliance with ethical standards and maintenance for all work produced by the research function
- Analyze patterns of giving and characteristics of current donor pool including demographic data; employment information; board involvement; giving history amount, frequency, level vs. expectation, etc
- Generate accurate and reliable profiles, reports, and analysis about individuals, corporations, and foundations with high potential of providing major gifts to the Hebrew University
- Assure accuracy and integrity of donor and prospect information obtained from research results
- Help AFHU refine, prioritize, and maintain strategic and right-sized donor portfolios.
- Build, facilitate, and monitor capacity rating system for known prospects within our donor database (Raiser’s Edge) to ensure strategies are reflected in our database to optimize fundraising efforts
- Collaborate with other members of the development team, development operations, and leadership to provide insights and recommendations sharing research findings, insights, and strategies to determine/cocreate the most effective approach for donor engagement
- Responsible for the donor database integrity, including, but not limited to overseeing the process of creating new records, linking relationships, marking deceased records, soft credits, etc
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of six years of related experience required.
- Self-motivated, self-sufficient, and driven to lead and collaborate with others to achieve success.
- Experience working with data, designing reports, synthetizing data accordingly, and conducting analysis
- Ability to work both independently and to achieve results while working in a collaborative team environment

Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
