What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator position at American Fuel Cell and Coated Fabrics Company?
Description
Load and unload raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods, MRO supplies, and maintenance supplies. Move products from the shipping dock to the required area in the plant. Communicate with trucking companies to ensure on-time delivery. Tracking of shipments inbound and outbound. Communicate with sales to confirm any shipment changes to customers. Communicate with purchasing for incoming receipts. Daily use of MRP system to ensure that all shipments, receipts, and transfers are recorded properly. Coordinate with production to have materials prepared when finished goods are ready to ship. Ensure all cells that are slated for shipment for the month are shipped. Fulfill all certification requirements for products shipping; this includes but is not limited to stencil, label, and stamp. Other tasks may include scanning, filing, maintenance of records, troubleshooting shipments, and research in old records.
The physical requirements of persons in this position classification are:
· Manual dexterity in use of hands & arms with repetitive motion & reach
· Occasionally will move material weighing up to 50 pounds
· Employee will regularly be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
· Constant change from working at a desk to up and moving about the plant
Requirements
1. High school diploma / GED
2. Ability to communicate verbally or in writing.
3. MRP system experience and aptitude
4. Fork lift operator
5. Computer literate
6. Must be able to work a weekly schedule with minimal attendance infractions
