Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plate Maker for our 3rd Shift team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process by creating high-quality printing plates that meet the specifications of various print jobs. This position requires a strong understanding of color management, typography, and various printing techniques. The Plate Maker will work closely with other production staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of print materials.

Responsibilities

Prepare plates for mounting and for installation in flexographic printing presses.
Ensure accurate color management throughout the plate-making process.
Lifts and places photopolymer sheets into exposure, processing and finishing equipment.
Set up and adjust screen printing equipment as needed for different projects.
Perform quality checks on plates to ensure they meet required standards before production.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
Assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise during the plate-making process.
Operate forklifts safely to transport materials as needed.

Skills

Strong understanding of color management principles and practices.
Knowledge of plastic films and its application in flex-print industry.
Experience with CNC machining and press operations.
Familiarity with solvent base and water base inks.
Ability to fabricate plates according to precise specifications.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
