The Quality Inspector is responsible for confirming compliance of pouches to quality standards and customer specifications by performing repetitive and day to day product quality and performance inspections.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for confirming compliance of pouches to quality standards and customer specifications by performing repetitive and day to day product quality and performance inspections.
Specific Responsibilities
- Collect production samples from production floor and perform required inspections.
- Immediately notify the appropriate production personnel and management of any and all out of specification conditions pertaining to inspected samples.
- Notify the appropriate supervisor or manager of all potential food safety issues.
- Place any potential food safety issues on HOLD in accordance with the non-conforming materials program.
- Maintain the required retain samples of products and materials.
- Maintain records of data collected according to all procedures, requirements, and regulations.
- Perform inspections of unprocessed materials.
- Work and communicate with interdepartmental and intradepartmental personnel and management as necessary in a professional manner.
- Assist with maintaining quality of products produced.
- Assist with collecting samples of and/or all defective unprocessed material for return to the supplier.
- Assist with completing and implementing Corrective Action Reports in response to customer complaints.
- Train new personnel on proper testing requirements and procedures.
- Monitoring laboratory supply inventories and reporting low quantities to the proper personnel for replenishing supplies.
- Provide general inspection support to all departments as needed.
- Perform new material performance analysis as necessary.
- Assist with developing new test methods.
- Inspect held production materials to assist with the disposition and review for corrective actions.
- Adhere to all plant and department rules, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Other responsibilities as defined in Pouch Plant Programs (PPP’s).
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multitask, and promote a team concept.
- Excellent people, oral and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Computer data entry and filing skills are required including, but not limited to Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to work all shifts as needed.
- Must be very conscious of giving excellent customer service to all visitors.
