Description
This position will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facilities structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and water systems. Perform trade work, such as carpentry or painting in the repair or alteration of structures. In addition, candidate will work with manufacturing or engineering in the installation and repair of building, plumbing and wiring required in the production process. The candidate will also make periodic or special inspections of the premises to determine repair work necessary, perform preventative maintenance, filter changes, and troubleshooting on a variety of systems, chilled water, steam boilers, pumps, exhaust fans, natural gas, fire protection systems, compressed air, and hydraulics. The candidate will also work from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
Qualifications
To qualify, the applicant should have an associate’s degree, served an apprenticeship, or have 4 years of minimum verifiable experience. Certification in HVAC and certification in the use, storage, and handling of all controlled refrigerants are required.
