Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
- Conduct daily safety inspection of work area and addresses noted issues
- Prepares production supplies including tape, cores, and solvent
- Conducts daily inspection and preventative maintenance of machinery
- Conducts general set up of production machinery
- Installs plates, rollers, guides, blades, and related equipment on machinery
- Reads job specification sheet to determine job requirements
- Enters tolerances and parameters into machine computer
- Loads, centers, and webs product into proper machine
- Maintains proper speeds and settings of machinery throughout shift
- Routinely checks product samples against job specifications
- Conducts Quality procedures including inspection of finished goods for quality defects
- Completes required paperwork for each job
- Packs finished product for shipment to customer
- Cleans up machine and work area
- Meets production and quality goals
- Assists in training of new employees
- Assists with other tasks as needed
- Complies with all Plant Rules
- All other appropriate duties as assigned by the management team
Qualifications
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to learn and understand machine operations and the use of the proper tools for the job
- Attention to Detail: Ability to focus while maintaining important details
- Critical Thinking: The ability to quickly identify a problem and find a solution
- Computer Competence: Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Self-Reliance: Must be able to work independently
- Innovation : Must demonstrate an open and growth mindset, embracing change, stepping out of comfort zone, and applies creativity in generating ideas and solutions
- Flexibility: Willingness to cross-train on different jobs and machines in conversion and other departments

- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Able to move and lift to 50 lbs.
- Able to reach and bend
