What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recycling Associate position at American Furniture Warehouse?
Job Description
AFW proudly participates in preserving the environment by recycling as much material as possible. AFW is looking for a Recycling Associate who is responsible for processing material to be recycled. The Recycling Associate will operate and clean the Runi / Strautmann (Styrofoam Recycling Machine), The Card Board Bailer, The Plastic / Foam Bailer, and the Trash Shredder. The Recycling Associate will also stage the processed material onto pallets and safely prepare the pallets to be shipped, all training provided by AFW. Starting pay of $16 / hr. We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and weekly pay to all of our Team Members.
Job Requirements :
- Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpful but not required.
- Ability to be trained on Lock Out Tag Out (L.O.T.O) procedures and the ability to perform Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
- Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
- Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
- Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
