What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staging Associate Lead position at American Furniture Warehouse?
The Staging Lead will coordinate and work with multiple departments to ensure that merchandise on our show floor is assembled, displayed, and priced correctly to provide a great experience for our customers. The Staging Lead will also perform inventory reports to ensure the new product is prepared and placed on the show floor for display. This individual will also monitor product inventory and report any discrepancies to the Inventory department. The Staging Lead will also oversee the construction and tear down of all show floor displays, and will coach the Stagers to successfully perform and complete merchandise moves on the show floor.

- Appraises employee performance, communicates goals and expectations, provides, honest feedback and coaches team members.
- Work with Sales managers to ensure the inventory of merchandise on the show floor is accurate.
- Actively participate in annual show floor inventory scans.
- Provides continual training to team members with an emphasis on safety and service.
- Ensure merchandise is priced accurately.
- Coach employees on how to perform the correct furniture handling techniques.
- Make sure new merchandise is displayed as soon as it is received.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Facilitates transfers between stores with accurate inventory management through Storis.
- Coach the staging associates to construct, paint, set up, and install signs, sale banners, panels, and other items required for special events, clearance events
- Communicates, leads, and develops teamwork with the Staging Department.
- Fill out the correct paperwork and forms.
- Identifying and reading reports, tickets, and UPC labels.
- Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

- Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
- Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
- Requires lift, lower, push, and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs. frequently and the ability to handle/manipulate up to 250 lbs. frequently.
- The Staging Manager position requires lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily.
