What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staging Associate position at American Furniture Warehouse?
The AFW Show Floor Staging Associate will physically place merchandise in the showroom at the direction of the Visual Designer and Store Management and will also assist with constructing, painting, and deconstructing displays to provide an excellent visual presentation of merchandise for our customers. The Staging Associate will open, assemble, and inspect the merchandise before placing it in the showroom. The Stager will also tag merchandise with tags that explain the price, merchandise features, and any other information that will provide our customers with information about the merchandise. The Stager will also operate a stock picker and pull inventory from the warehouse to the Staging Department and will operate the stock picker to put the merchandise back in stock. All training is provided by and paid for by AFW.
Starting Pay $18 / HR and Weekly Pay

Job Requirements
Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
Assembly experience preferred
Experience using hand tools
Ability to safely operate a company-approved box cutter
Ability to operate a forklift / order picker for pulling and putting away stock, order processing,
Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.

Assemble merchandise correctly and efficiently using various tools while sustaining high-quality assurance and attention to detail.
Ability to inspect, inventory, and hard mark all merchandise before staging on the show floor.
Facilitates transfers between stores with accurate inventory management.
Ability to construct, paint, set up, and install signs, sale banners, panels, and other items required for special events, clearance events
Ability to set up and maintain fixtures using hand or power tools, such as saws, hammers, screwdrivers, staple guns, ladders, scissors, nails, paint, etc.
Able to work an RF gun.
Ability to safely operate hand trucks and furniture moving carts.
Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency, and exceed customer service expectations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business dictates.
Physical Requirements :
Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and, at times, congested areas
Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
Requires lift, lower, push, and pull all merchandise sizes up to 100 lbs. frequently and the ability to handle / manipulate up to 250 kg. Often.
The Stager position requires lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily.
