Education and/or Experience

This Sales Representative role focuses on sales and support-related activities involving resellers and end users of our specialty garage door products.
Summary
The Sales Representative role sells and supports specific company products to businesses, individuals, institutions or government agencies.
While supporting and following the business’s established procedures and policies, this position contacts, communicates with and manages potential buyers, attends sales promotion functions, follows-up on leads, creates and prepares product solutions, estimates costs, prices products, creates quotes, presents product solutions to customers, answers questions, closes sales opportunities and provides service before, during and after the sale.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Identify and manage prospective customers and opportunities by using the internet, CRM software as well as other sources and attending industry events and conferences.
Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
Manage and follow-up on leads generated from websites, promotions, tradeshows and other sources.
Recommend products or services to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
Gather drawings, specifications or other technical information that meet specific customer needs.
Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order forms.
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
Enter and process sales orders, returns and other transactional paperwork according to company policies.
Consult with clients after sales or contract signings in order to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
Meet personal and team goals.
Assist and coordinate with other departments including: accounting purchasing and production.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient using email, word processing, spreadsheets, And databases on a personal computer or within a server network. Must have working knowledge of CRM systems as well as Microsoft Office including; Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Preferred: Excellent excel proficiencies.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee should have full use of eyes and ears and full power of speech. During the work week the employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, bend torso, bend arms, wrists and fingers. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
