Description
AGA is seeking an intern to join its Energy Markets, Analysis, and Standards (EMAS) team to support its analytical and research efforts in various topics including gas utility growth, the future of natural gas infrastructure, low/no carbon supply, and the creation of tools to bolster EMAS’ analytical efforts.
The EMAS intern can expect to work collaboratively with AGA staff while creating educational documents, collecting data to be used in analytical tools, performing research projects and reviewing, editing, and analyzing data using large datasets. The intern may also expect to work on projects that quantify the public value of natural gas, and the most cost-effective means to deliver energy to homes and businesses across the US.
AGA professional staff will provide mentoring and assistance with professional development skills.
Requirements
Successful candidates will be excellent writers and researchers, be comfortable working in Excel with large datasets, and be eager to learn and expand their skillsets. Relevant backgrounds include engineering, economics, policy and/or environmental advocacy.
