What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical/Electronic Service Technician position at American GFM Corporation?
Responsibilities:
- Build Machine Control Cabinet, consoles, and terminal boxes.
- Including drilling, tapping, layout of components, labeling, wiring, cut-outs, and hole penetrations.
- Prepare Machine and Control Cables.
- Including crimp and solder connections, stripping, labeling and end terminations.
- Fabricate wireways, mount and wire machine components, pull in cables and terminate as required.
- Power up, debug, and prove function of machine according to design specifications.
- Install and start up machine in customer facility. Integrate with automation systems. Train operators and maintenance technicians on proper operation and setup/ repair of machine.
- Provide follow up service to ensure machinery is operating according to design and specifications.
Requirements:
- Experienced in using basic electrical hand tools and power tools such as cutters, strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, drills, grinders and saws.
- Knowledge of electrical test equipment (servo drives and programmable controllers)
- Strong oral/written communication skills.
- Electronic engineering background or prior electronic service experience with machine tool industry preferred.
