SUMMARY
The Intake Certification Specialist is the first point of contact for all clients. Provided the intake service to determine eligibility of homeless veterans moving into The Dorms Residential Center. Reviews HMIS reports for data accuracy and inconsistencies and performs HMIS activities on all clients associated with the Residential Center that includes securing enrollment, exit inputs and corrections. The incumbent is also responsible for answering the telephone and directing telephone calls to residents, staff, and visitors in an expeditious and timely manner. Greets, assists, and directs visitors entering the Residential Center for Veterans. Primary responsibility is to assist the program by generating, monitoring, and maintaining various internal and external resident rosters to include resident reporting. Work schedule is 11 pm to 7 am, M-F.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have a high school diploma or GED, and some college hours is preferred.
- Prefer that applicants have at least four (4) years of work-related experience in customer service and general office procedures.
- Must be able to handle multiple activities, be dependable, self-motivated, work independently and/or as a team player.
- Must have computer skills and a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Must possess pleasant demeanor, excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
- Must have own transportation to be used during work hours, a current Texas driver’s license and appropriate automobile liability insurance.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and driving record check.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a high school graduate, and some college hours are preferred. Prefer that applicants have at least 2 years’ experience in responsible office position, and experience must include computer knowledge of software programs. Other experience with general office equipment, i.e., copiers, mailing machines, scanners, and multi-line phone systems is preferred.
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Must always have a current Texas driver’s license.
- Must have applicable automobile liability insurance at all times.
- Must pass drug testing and background check.
- All personnel of the organization must be bondable.
SCHEDULE
- 40-hour work week
- 11 pm to 7 am, M-F
