American GI Forum - National Veterans Outreach Program is a nonprofit organization. SUMMARY
This position is responsible for certifying data entry, client application information and data from other program required documents. The individual must have a strong attention to detail for reviewing, certifying, and entering data, reviewing reports, forms and correcting errors in the organization’s official database. The MIS Certification Specialist must ensure integrity of the data with the ability to compile and maintain a database in support of program assessment, evaluation, and planning; must be able to review client enrollment documents, training, placement and follow-up documentation for accuracy and authenticity; and assist Case Managers on issues relating to availability and eligibility of support services for clients. This person will perform the follow-up task with employers and clients to obtain employment status; provide assistance to users of information for data requirements, compliance or assist with monthly reports and distribution; and will be required to be on a rotating schedule of the clerical pool to serve as a receptionist for the front desk as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

- Learn all of the eligibility criteria’s from numerous program.
- Builds and maintains a database which will support program assessment, evaluation and planning.
- Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
- Be able to understand and interpret documents provided for client training in on-the-job training and classroom training.
- Reviews program client enrollment, training, placement and follow-up documentation for accuracy and authenticity.
- Be proficient in Access data software for the purpose of inputting of client statistical information.
- Be able to interpret Department of labor regulations relative to client services.
- Be able to communicate effectively with case managers, employers and training institutions.
- Available for rotating schedule of the clerical pool to assist with receptionist duties as deemed necessary.
- Be responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Assist Case Managers with issues related to client support services individual but not limited to eligibility, availability and approval.
- Maintain confidentiality with all information regarding clients, donors, employees and AGIF-NVOP. Such information is to be disclosed on a need to know basis only.
- Responsible for being sensitive to the needs of program participants, and must at all times treat clients with respect and professional care.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

TRAVEL
Primarily local during business day although some out-of-area travel may be expected via airline or automobile based on the discretion of management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will conduct office work, meet with clientele, and team members, and at times travel offsite to conduct business. Employee may be exposed to varying weather conditions. Employee will also be required to work in varied office and residential environment based on assigned caseload. Employee will be able to handle and de-escalate situations that may arise while at work.
