What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at AMERICAN GI FORUM NVOP?
Work Hours: 8:30AM-5:00PM
SUMMARY
This position requires the individual to maintain material and parts inventory, move material and parts between production areas, and perform repetitive work on assembly and/or production line to mass produce products or to assemble those components for products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary this position, may include but is no limited to these duties, however it may change as the organization’s mission change.
- Performs any assembly or sub-assembly type functions using hand or power tools, electronic tooling.
- Performs repetitive motions at a workstation to produce components or to assemble those components for products on the assembly line.
- Organizes components and/or materials needed for assembly production.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- May exam materials received, verifies parts and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked materials.
- Responsible for comparing work ticket order specifications to materials used at workstations to verify appropriate assignments.
- Completes tasks as directed by production schedules with some to minimum supervision.
- Reports defective materials or questionable product conditions to supervisor.
- Engage in solution-oriented approaches, and interact with other team members, clients, and community representatives in a respectful manner, which includes communicating in a professional and productive demeanor, as well as ensuring that actions are supportive of others.
- Responsible for treating as confidential all information about clients, donors, team members and the AGIF-NVOP. Such information is to be disclosed on a need-to-know basis only.
- Responsible for being sensitive to the needs of program participants and must at all times treat clients with respect and professional care.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least six (6) months of work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Must be bondable and must pass drug testing and background check
