Customer Service Representative / Dispatcher

Our company is looking for a reliable Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative to help create routes that keep costs down but meet customer scheduling needs. The successful candidate for this position needs to be able to adjust to last minute changes and work with drivers and staff to schedule pick-ups or deliveries for new or established clients when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Receive questions and concerns from external customers and the production team
• Provide solutions to problems
• Receive and dispatch orders for incoming jobs, products or deliveries
• Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
• Use phone or computer to schedule drivers to appropriate locations and to communicate with internal staff and customers.
• Monitor the route and status of drivers to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
• Provide information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements
• Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
• Invoicing
• Multi line phone reception
• Document filing
• Prepare shipping labels using FedEx & UPS software

Requirements

• Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
• Must know the Central Florida area
• Thorough knowledge of the Central Florida area
• Tech-savvy with knowledge of relevant methods
• Fast typing with experience in data entry
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
• Active listener with excellent communication skills
• Sound judgement and critical thinking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Experience:

• Customer service: 3 years (Required)
• Dispatching: 2 years (Required)
