Position Overview: As a Bus Transit Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and orderliness of our bus services. You will be responsible for patrolling buses, transit stations, and surrounding areas to deter criminal activity, enforce regulations, and ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce transit policies and regulations to maintain orderliness and safety onboard.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical incidents, accidents, or security breaches.
- Assist passengers with inquiries, directions, and emergency evacuations as needed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders to coordinate responses and investigations.
- Conduct regular patrols of buses and transit facilities to identify and address security concerns.
Qualifications:
- Valid Guard Card
- Social Security card, Drivers License/State Identification Card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 yrs old or the minimum age required by the State
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, work outside in inclement weather
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a commitment to maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Physical fitness and agility to perform patrol duties and respond to emergencies as required.
