Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of all passengers, employees, and property.
• Identify and respond to security threats and prohibited items.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with questions and directions.
• Communicate effectively with passengers and team members.
• Follow security procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and terminal facilities.
• Complete screening reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Effective verbal communication skills; clear, respectful, and appropriate communication with all guests.
• Fluent in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Dependable and reliable to report to work on time when scheduled.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Security Guard License (Guard Card).
• Must be able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card).
• Must be able to work Saturday, Sundays, and other days of the week.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years or older (or meet the minimum age requirement by the State).
• U.S. citizen or authorized foreign citizen to work in the U.S.
• Social Security card, Driver's License/State Identification card.
• Ability to follow Coast Guard regulations.
• Active Washington State Guard License or ability to obtain one.
• Must be able to stand in place for a long duration of time.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to operate security screening equipment effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in security, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to use two-way radios.
• Must be able to read documents, see signage, and provide verbal and physical directional support.
• Must be able to use electronic scanning devices such as magnetometers, handheld metal detection wands, tablets, and handheld identification scanners.
