Part-Time Work Schedule

Monday Thru Thursday 3pm to 815pm

Sunday 1245pm to 515pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with inquiries and directing them to relevant library resources.
• Provide assistance and guidance to visitors, including directions and information about library services.
• Conduct regular patrols of library premises to deter and detect any signs of unauthorized access, disturbances, or other security concerns.
• Report incidents and safety hazards accurately and promptly to our dispatch center.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in security or a related field preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful or emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Guard Card and Powers to Arrest certificate in hand.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or ID.
• Valid Pepper Spray, Baton, and Taser permit required.
• Must have a valid Social Security card.
• Must have at least 1 year of Level 2 Officer security experience.
• Must provide excellent customer service.
• Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
