Job Overview:

As an Unarmed Security Officer at the San Jose Courthouse, you'll be a vital part of our team, responsible for maintaining a secure and orderly environment. Your primary focus will be on safeguarding visitors, staff, and court activities, ensuring the smooth operation of courthouse proceedings through vigilance and professionalism.

Shifts Available:
Part Time: 7:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. / 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage entry points to the courthouse, ensuring only authorized individuals gain access.
• Conduct regular patrols of the courthouse premises, including entrances, hallways, and other areas.
• Provide assistance and information to visitors, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
• Write detailed reports outlining any security incidents or observations.
• Report incidents and safety hazards accurately and promptly to our dispatch center.

Requirements:

• Must have valid guard card.
• Must have powers to arrest certificate.
• Valid driver's license/Identification.
• Ability to remain standing for prolonged hours.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
