Job Title: Stacker Operator (Entry-Level)
Job Location: 4600 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113
Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 4 days; Rotate every 16 days between day and night shifts.
Day shift: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.
Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
Overtime as required.
Compensation: $21.83/ hour
Full or Part Time: Full-time only

JOB SUMMARY:
- The primary responsibility of the Stacker Operator is to operate the Stacker and Bundler area in a safe and efficient manner.
- The Stacker Operator is responsible for:
- Place slueters on all units.
- Manage bundling tape supply.
- Visual quality inspections.
- Safety and quality should always be part of the daily operation:
- to ensure a safe workplace.
- and to produce the highest quality product possible.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read cut lists and accurately complete special tags.
- Must be able to use a touch screen computer and input information.
- Must be able to lift/ move up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 51 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to perform basic math and metrics.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
SAFETY
- This operations position is a safety-sensitive position due to routine close proximity to moving and automatic equipment as well as mobile equipment.
- Operate in a safe manner, following all plant and departmental safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in daily/monthly crew safety meetings.
- Know how and where to properly lock out all job-related equipment.
- Understand safe operation for forklifts.
- Understand mobile equipment safety inspection.
- Wear appropriate PPE for the job conditions.
- Maintain housekeeping in the designated area.
- Comprehend and implement JSA’s for the area.
QUALITY
- Adhere to all quality-related procedures. This includes completing any necessary tags or forms accurately and completely.
- Inspect end tapes and overall appearance of the board in the stackers.
- Place the required amount of slueters in a uniform manner on all units.
- Know all types of board produced and the corresponding end tapes.
- Understand banding/wrapping process and when it is required.
- Communicate with Stacker Driver as needed to prevent placing defective units in stock.
- Notify Dry End Operator of any possible quality problems.
OPERATIONS
- Follow all Stacker / Bundler area operating procedures.
- Re-tape board with the correct type and length as needed by hand.
- Perform a complete visual inspection of all units at the stackers.
- Report or repair any quality problems.
- Understand stacker setup for a length or product change.
- Know when special tags are to be used and place on the board in correct location.
- Understand operating procedures for the Bundler system.
- Replace end tape and zip tape when needed.
- Identify the proper end tape according to the product and length being produced.
- Understand the procedure to use partial rolls of end tape first and return partial rolls to the proper location.
- Report any quality problems to your Foreman/Dry End Operator.
- Properly store items such as brooms, shovels, and trash cans.
- Know how to safely start and test all equipment in the area.
- Understand cut list to properly plan activities during the shift.
- Place sleuters frequently and occasionally sorting board.
- Maintain high attention level requirements: watching for problems, listening for alarms, aware of lift trucks in high traffic area.
- React to changing product requirements.
- Relieve other operators as directed by supervisor.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Must be flexible with job duties; may be required to fill in on other jobs when the business or organization is short-handed.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:
- Manufacturing site.
- Typically, well-lighted.
- The plant is not heated or air-conditioned.
- Moderate noise levels require hearing protection.
- Air quality is good.
