About the Job
As a Sawyer at Blue Triangle Hardwoods, you will be responsible for manufacturing green hardwood lumber from logs using advanced machinery and equipment. Your tasks will include:
Main Responsibilities:
- Determining the optimal cutting pattern for breaking down logs to maximize value and meet production requirements
- Performing minor maintenance tasks such as changing saw blades, lubricating equipment, and addressing jams or broken parts
- Ensuring the quality of the lumber meets our company standards
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of NHLA lumber grades
- At least two years of experience in hardwood grade sawing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
- Strong communication skills
- Other duties as assigned by management
