Job Overview
The Maintenance Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle various maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities: but not limited to:
- Routine cleaning of facilities ground, and manufacturing hallways
- Gather and empty trash. Dispose of Styrofoam.
- Clean outside windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Mix water and detergents containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Maintain humidifiers in lab area daily. Collection of water samples for QC. Fill/Empty the water in the Stability Chambers (QC Lab).
- Exterior Pest Control Inspection (Must be certified).
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
- Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Remove, set up, and arrange for company events when needed.
- Salt and shovel snow as needed in areas snow removal company misses.
- Maintain necessary logbooks in accordance with SOPs.
- Special projects as assigned: painting lines and floors, replace filters in HVAC units, relabeling of products, assisting on production line, transferring packages/documents between buildings, etc.
- Clean kitchen areas, including refrigerator, microwaves, coffee machine, water cooler when need.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms when needed.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures when needed

- Dedusting walls, windows, molding, office machines and equipment when needed. Assist with Porter responsibilities as need.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
- Qualification: High School graduate or equivalent or adequate experience in the related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 – 2 yrs. Industrial Experience in the related field.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read & write English.
- Ability to understand and follow GMP, SOP & General safety requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Training Requirements:
- General Safety
- SOP, HACCP and cGMP
- General Cleaning, housekeeping maintenance.
Physical Demands:
- Required to reach with arms and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, and climb a ladder.
- The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 lbs or more
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
