Provide courteous assistance to patients and physician offices while scheduling and registering patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsible for collecting accurate demographic, insurance, and all other billing information, scheduling appointments in person order entry and performing any other duties necessary to provide efficient, timely services to the patients, their families and providers.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for collecting accurate demographic, insurance, and all other billing information, scheduling appointments in person order entry and performing any other duties necessary to provide efficient, timely services to the patients, their families and providers.
Location:
- Atlanta, GA
- Flexibility to Work From Home a few days a week after a 4-6 month training period
- Schedules/confirms appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized
- Scheduling application.
- Explains exams/procedures, preparation instructions and location directions to patients and provider office staff.
- Contacts referring provider offices to obtain exam orders if necessary.
- Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate personnel.
- Consistently maintains composure during all calls, escalating to leads when warranted
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent medical scheduling or customer service experience
- 1-3 years related health care scheduling for multiple locations, medical terminology, physician billing and/or medical reception/medical office experience preferred.
- Call center or phone experience preferred.
- Previous customer service background required.
- Experience working with a computerized scheduling system preferred.
- Bilingual preferred
- Precise data entry skills.
- Ability to schedule patients rapidly and accurately.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and telecommunication skills to communicate with patients, referral sources and staff.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high productivity environment.
- Ability to document accurately and concisely.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ability to answer multi-line phone.
- Ability to meet call center metrics
