American Health Imaging is actively searching for a Patient Service Representative Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham, AL. (Grandview location)
Shift will be Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
The Patient Service Representative Supervisor is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, families, and visitors while performing the requested duties. These duties will include interviewing patients and/or families to obtain all demographic and financial information, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, verifying patient insurance, explaining financial responsibility to patient or patient representative, and collecting same-day payments.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Manages the training and onboarding of new team members
- Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process
- Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones
- Monitors and approves timecards
- Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations and on-going development of team members including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/ or terminations when necessary
- Defines job responsibilities/specialty tasks and priorities
- Develops and monitors the teams’ performance through a QA process
- Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate department coverage (5%)
- Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years office experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent customer service skills
